The 4th Crystal Engineering and Emerging Materials Workshop of Ontario and Quebec (CEMWOQ-4) was held at Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, Ontario, from May 26-28, 2017.

Four previous meetings have taken place (at McGill University, the University of Guelph, and the University of Windsor), with attendance increasing each year.

CEMWOQ is a venue for academia researchers working on the design, synthesis, characterization and application of materials, where the properties arise from a specific crystal structure or a specific molecular arrangement. The workshop facilitates exchange of ideas, expertise and information, serves as an educational event for students, and supports or creates new collaborations between research groups. The Workshop has plenary and oral presentations, and a poster session with ample time for discussion within the program. A training workshop on the day preceding the main CEMWOQ meeting is included, on a topic relevant to one or more of the existing themes of the meeting.
