Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Brown, and I am currently in my second year of pursuing a Master of Science in the Dawe Research Group. My involvement with this research group began during my undergraduate studies, where I completed an undergraduate thesis focused on the synthesis of ligands for coordination chemistry. The invaluable experience and mentorship I received during that time inspired me to continue my academic journey within the same group. Currently, my research is centered on the synthesis of ligands for coordination chemistry, alongside exploring crystal engineering.
Through my academic journey, I have built a thorough understanding of inorganic, organic, and analytical chemistry. Additionally, I have developed key skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and functional knowledge that have been essential in advancing my research.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as outdoor activities and reading.
