A student workshop on OLEX2 for beginners will take place from 2:30-5:30pm on Friday, May 26 in room BA113 (Bricker Academic Building.) This short workshop will introduce the following basic usages:

  1. Opening processed data
  2. Structure solution with SHELXS and SHELXT
  3. Assigning and numbering atoms
  4. Structure refinement with SHELXL
  5. CIF, Figure, and Report preparation

Students interested in a more in-depth study of crystallography, and in use of more advanced features of OLEX2 are encouraged to register for theĀ 8th Canadian Chemical Crystallography Workshop, which is being hosted at McMaster University, immediately preceding CEMWOQ-4.
